Terms and Conditions
1.1. This website, www.presentdrop.co.za (“the website”) is owned and operated by PresentDrop Partnership (“PresentDrop”, “we”, “us” and “our”).
1.2. These Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”) govern the ordering, sale, delivery and return of goods, and the use of the website.
1.3. These T&Cs are binding and enforceable against every person (“you”, “your” or “user”) that accesses or uses the website.
- Use of the website
2.1. By using the website you warrant that you are 18 years of age or older and of full legal capacity. If you are under the age of 18 or if you are not legally permitted to enter into a binding agreement, then you may use the website only with the involvement and supervision of your parent or legal guardian. If your parent or legal guardian supervises you and gives his/her consent, then such person agrees to be bound to these T&Cs and to be liable and responsible for you and all your obligations under these T&Cs.
2.2. You agree that you will not in any way use any device, software or other instrument to interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of the website.
2.3. You agree that you will not in any way use any robot, spider, other automatic device, or manual process to monitor, copy, distribute or modify the website or the information contained herein.
2.4. You may not use the website to distribute material which is defamatory, offensive, contains or amounts to hate speech or is otherwise unlawful.
2.5. You may not in any way display, publish, copy, print, post or otherwise use the website and/or the information contained therein without express prior written consent from us.
- Products and pricing
3.1. All our prices are subject to change and are valid while stocks last.
3.2. All gifts include wrapping that must be selected before the gift can be added to your cart.
3.3. Delivered products may vary in appearance when compared to images on the website, especially when the product is handmade, customised or personalised.
- Contract of sale
4.1. Your order is an offer to PresentDrop to buy the product(s) in your order. When you place an order to purchase a product from PresentDrop, we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order and containing the details of your order. The Order Confirmation E-mail is acknowledgement that we have received your order, and does not confirm acceptance of your offer to buy the product(s) ordered.
4.2. We only accept your offer, and conclude the contract of sale for a product ordered by you, when we dispatch the product to you and send e-mail confirmation to you that we’ve dispatched the product.
5.1. There is no option to collect purchased gifts, all gifts will be delivered.
5.2. The delivery fee depends on the delivery address and will be added during checkout.
5.3. If we have to attempt delivery more than twice, we will charge an additional delivery fee.
5.4. Deliveries within Cape Town:
5.4.1. You will be able to select the special day on which the PresentDrop team must attempt to deliver the gift.
5.4.2. We will call the recipient when we are near the specified address. If we can’t get hold of the recipient, we will call the sender. If we can’t get hold of either, we reserve the right to re-attempt delivery on another day.
5.5. Deliveries outside of Cape Town:
5.5.1. Deliveries outside of Cape Town will be completed by The Courier Guy.
5.5.2. The Courier Guy cannot deliver all products available on the website, for example helium balloons. There are warnings but if you do place an order for a product that cannot be delivered, we will contact you to exchange it for something else.
5.5.3. You will be able to select the day on which you want The Courier Guy to attempt delivery of the gift, but we cannot guarantee that they will be able to deliver on the selected day and so the gift may arrive a few days earlier or later.
If you live in Jhb your gift should arrive within one to two working days but areas further away or remote may take longer. for example, Durban takes around 4 working days. Please ensure you allow enough time when ordering. If you need to get your gift delivered sooner, please contact us to arrange express courier. There will be additional fees.
- Order cancellations
6.1. If we have not yet started processing your order, you may be eligible for a full refund on cancellation.
6.2. If we have started processing your order but it is not yet out for delivery, you may be eligible for a refund of the full amount less a handling fee.
6.3. If your order is out for delivery or has been delivered, refer to the returns and exchanges section below.
Returns and exchanges
- Returns and exchanges are to be arranged by the purchaser and not the recipient (if different).
- What cannot be returned?
2.1. Optional extras, such as premium wrapping, balloons or cards.

- What can be returned?
3.1. Unwanted gifts
3.1.1. These may be returned within 30 days of delivery.
3.1.2. We will collect the gift at your cost.
3.1.3. You must return the gift in its original packaging and condition.
3.2. Defective gifts and gifts damaged on delivery
3.2.1. The recipient must notify us of the defect or damage within 48 hours of delivery.
3.2.2. We will collect the gift at no cost to you.
3.2.3. You must return all parts and accessories included with the gift.
- The process
4.1. Once we have collected the gift, we will assess the validity of the return.
4.2. If we determine the return to be invalid, we will return it to you and you will be charged for the costs of collecting and returning the gift.
4.3. If the return is valid, you can choose from the following options:
4.3.1. Have the gift repaired (where relevant and possible);
4.3.2. Have your account credited to the value of the gift;
4.3.3. A cash refund; or
4.3.4. Exchange for the same or another gift.

1.4.1. Couriers will be provided with sufficient information to enable them to deliver the gifts.
1.4.2. Comments and reviews may be checked through an automated 3rd party spam detection service.
1.5. How long do we keep your data for?
1.5.1. If you leave a comment or rating on the website, it and its metadata will be retained indefinitely.
1.5.2. Registered users’ profile data will be retained until you request that we delete it.
1.5.3. Recipients’ data?
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
